A call to the vultures

Britain's new Foreign Secretary, Hammond has just called on -
"British businessmen" (sic - no women allowed please - we're British) "to pack their bags today - and get to Libya!"
No doubt necessary before those damn wily French muscle in. To the victor (and the business class traveller) the spoils.

However, Hammond and his pals might find that an armed people who have just spent a year fighting to overturn a despot (who was getting closer and closer to the West) might have something to say about that.

As I said in a previous blog (25 August) watch out for what happens to the 'criminal Gaddafi's' oil contracts with Britain and France. We may well find that that preservation of this particular part of Gaddafi's legacy proves irresistible to the erstwhile 'allies' of the Libyan people.
